La collezione parte da una storia, il romanzo Ulysses di James Joyce. Egli racconta di un uomo inetto, vittima della sua vita monotona e priva di soddisfazioni. Attraverso gli occhi e i pensieri dei personaggi, crea un quadro di vita quotidiana completo di dubbi e riflessioni caratteristici della mente umana. A questo quadro confuso è appaiato il personaggio decadente della Marchesa Luisa Casati Stampa, ricca ereditiera vissuta negli anni ‘20 tra le feste e le ville, gli animali esotici, gli stupefacenti e gli uomini. Simbolo di femme fatale, è conosciuta come opera d’arte vivente. Entrambi cercano un modo di vivere che li faccia fuggire dalla triste condizione dell’uomo, uno scopo che occupi la consapevolezza e la lunghezza della vita. Attraverso sperimentazioni e lavorazioni, la collezione vuole suscitare stupore nell’osservatore e fargli bramare di più. Rappresenta la ricerca del bello, uno stile di vita tipico degli esteti. Il nome della collezione è Uluysses, dalla fusione del titolo del libro di Joyce, Ulysses, e il nome della Marchesa, Luisa, entrambi sopra citati.
Nella seconda parte del portfolio, è presente la problematica dell’inquinamento da petrolio nei mari. L’attenzione agli sprechi e al cambiamento climatico è sempre più forte, per questo è stato inserito un ulteriore abito, che racconta un’altra storia. Solo nel Mar Mediterraneo ogni anno si contano 200 mila imbarcazioni che trasportano oltre 360 milioni di tonnellate di greggio, che purtroppo rischiano di finire in mare, distruggendo gli ecosistemi, tra piante e animali. Un maestoso albatro, calatosi nel mare a pescare, è investito dalle onde nere di petrolio, riemergendone pregno del denso liquido e non più capace di volare. Sono stati utilizzati materiali riciclati, come le camere d’aria delle biciclette e una tela di cotone riciclato, per un minore impatto sulla natura: è ciò che la moda cerca oggi.

Through experimentation and fabric manipulation, the collection wants to arouse wonder in the observer and make him crave more. It represents the pursuit of beauty, a lifestyle typical of aesthetes. The name of the collection is Uluysses, from the fusion of the title of the book of Joyce, Ulysses, and the name of the Marquise, Luisa, both mentioned above.
In the second part of the portfolio, is explained the problem of oil pollution in the seas. The attention to waste and climate change is getting stronger and stronger, so another dress has been added, to tell another story. Only in the Mediterranean Sea every year there are 200 tousand boats carrying more than 360 million tons of oil, which unfortunately risk ending up in the sea, destroying ecosystems, including plants and animals. A majestic albatross glides in the sea for fishing and is hit by black waves of oil. He re-emerges full of the thick liquid and no longer able to fly. For this dress have been used recycled materials, such as the inner tubes of bicycles and a recycled cotton canvas, for a less impact on nature: this is what fashion seeks today.
