Suhyun Ha, nata nel 1999, è una fashion designer sudcoreana attualmente residente in Italia. Ha completato i suoi studi universitari in Textiles & Clothing presso la Yonsei University, dove si è concentrata principalmente su approcci di design ergonomico e ha lavorato come ricercatrice studentesca presso il FT Lab. Attualmente sta frequentando un Master in Fashion Design in Italia, ampliando la sua visione estetica e sviluppando un linguaggio progettuale che unisce i confini tra le culture orientali e occidentali.

Nella collezione “Demonized Angel”, ha esplorato il proprio mondo interiore presentando look contemporanei ispirati alla tensione tra bene e male. La collezione ha messo in risalto l’uso della macchina per maglieria, tessuti stampati e un’attenzione particolare allo sviluppo degli accessori. La collezione “Gache” ha tratto ispirazione dalla tradizionale parrucca coreana, il gache, reinterpretando la bellezza orientale e occidentale attraverso il design. Tecniche di smocking sono state applicate in diversi punti, mentre organza e raso sono stati utilizzati per creare silhouette uniche e suggestive.

Con “Under the Pressure”, ha affrontato il tema della pressione personale, combinando l’estetica della tradizionale arte coreana della madreperla (Najeonchilgi) con silhouette moderne. La collezione “Weird Chess Club” ha offerto una reinterpretazione contemporanea del motivo a scacchiera, presentata come linea prêt-à-porter.

Suhyun Ha, born in 1999, is a fashion designer from South Korea currently based in Italy. She completed her undergraduate studies in Textiles & Clothing at Yonsei University, where she primarily focused on ergonomic design approaches and also worked as a student researcher at the FT Lab. She is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Fashion Design in Italy, expanding her aesthetic vision and developing a design language that bridges the boundaries between Eastern and Western cultures.

In her “Demonized Angel” collection, she explored her inner world by presenting contemporary looks inspired by the tension between good and evil. The collection featured distinctive knit-machine techniques, printed fabrics, and an emphasis on accessory development. “Gache” collection drew inspiration from the traditional Korean wig, gache, reinterpreting Eastern and Western beauty through design. Smocking techniques were applied throughout, while organza and satin were used to create a unique and atmospheric silhouette.

In “Under the Pressure”, she addressed the theme of personal pressure, combining the aesthetics of traditional Korean lacquerware (Najeonchilgi) with modern silhouettes. Her “Weird Chess Club” collection offered a reinterpretation of the checkboard pattern through a contemporary lens, presented as a prêt-à-porter line.
