Il progetto “Tancredi e le 5 scenate” si basa su uno spettacolo teatrale scritto da Tancredi stesso, uno dei personaggi principali di questa sceneggiatura.
Tancredi è un enfant terrible romano, in cerca della propria identità, il quale utilizza la propria arte per comprendere e sviscerare il proprio io.
“Tancredi e le 5 scenate” e’ una tragicommedia divisa in 5 atti, in cui troviamo:
Il pubblico, il quale e’ parte integrante dello spettacolo e 5 personaggi principali, i quali sono 5 impersonificazioni di 5 momenti di vita dello stesso tancredi.
Per la stesura di questo spettacolo e per la creazione dei vari outfit tancredi si rifarà ad alcuni personaggi e movimenti artistici che l’hanno influenzato fino a questo momento. I quali sono princialemnte appartenenti alla scena queer ed artistica italiana degli anni 60-70.
Per citarne alcuni troviamo il performer e letterato Mario Mieli, il cantautore Alfredo Cohen da cui prenderà spunto principalmente per l’estetica teatrale e gender-less come può essere per l’utilizzo di panieri, piume di struzzo, intimo femminile e bigiotteria.
Ed il movimento artistico “arte povera” da cui attingerà per il loro l’utilizzo di materiali “anticoncezionali” per far arte, come può essere legno, metallo e plastiche.
Questi personaggi e correnti di pensiero hanno tutti un fattore comune, ovvero la necessita di rompere con la tradizione poiché non più valida per il tempo in cui essi si sviluppano.
Lo stesso vale per “Tancredi” il quale attraverso le sue fasi di sperimentazione ed scissione da ciò che credeva prima giusto e consono all’ambiente in cui vive, riesce finalmente a comprendere e abbracciare i due massimi poli che compongono una qualsiasi persona: la sfera femminile e la sfera maschile in egual parti e misura.

Tancredi is an enfant terrible from Rome, who uses his art and the process behind it to understand and dissect his identity.
“Tancredi e le 5 scenate” is a tragic-comedy divided in five acts, where we can find:
The public which is a fundamental part of the play due to the fact that they are in a conversation with the 5 characters of the story. Each of these characters are a physical representation of 5 Tancredi’s life changing experiences.
For the draft of the play and the composition of the garments Tancredi takes inspiration from the queer and artistic scene of the 60’s and 70’s.
To quote some them, we can find references to the Italian activist, playwright and gender studies theorist Mario Mieli, and the performer Alfredo Cohen from whom he’s gonna take inspiration for the use of pannier, ostrich feathers, lingerie and the extreme bijoux; and the 60’s Italian art movement “arte povera” that leads the use of unconventional materials for doing art: such us wood, metal and plastic.
The common denominator between these references is the need and the intention to break a tradition that doesn’t fit and represent their views.
The same goes for Tancredi, who through his experimentation and abolition of what he was taught and I believed as appropriate, he finally comprehends and embrace the two main opposite poles that makes all of us: the feminine and masculine spheres in equal parts and measures.
