+359 BG è una collezione capsule di moda per la Primavera/Estate 2025, profondamente ispirata al mio paese d’origine: la Bulgaria. Come studentessa che vive all’estero, mi sento sempre più attratta dalle radici culturali che mi hanno formata. La distanza mi ha permesso di guardare alla Bulgaria con occhi nuovi—fatti di apprezzamento, nostalgia e curiosità. Questo progetto è il mio modo di riconnettermi con la mia eredità culturale e tradurla in un linguaggio che parli sia al mio passato che al mio presente.
Il titolo della collezione, +359 BG, ha un significato personale e simbolico. Fa riferimento al prefisso telefonico internazionale della Bulgaria—quello che si compone quando si vuole chiamare qualcuno a casa. Rappresenta il legame tra vecchio e nuovo, tra tradizione e tecnologia, tra memoria e modernità. Racchiude lo scontro—e l’armonia—tra un paese dalla storia antica e ricca, e un futuro plasmato da una vita contemporanea e globale.
Questa collezione non è solo una celebrazione dell’identità, ma anche un dialogo visivo tra culture. Ho voluto esplorare cosa significhi portare con sé la propria cultura—indossarla, reinterpretarla e lasciarla evolvere con sé. Spesso ho sentito che la cultura bulgara non è ben rappresentata o riconosciuta negli spazi creativi globali. Con +359 BG, ho voluto mettere in luce la bellezza unica di questa cultura, dandole un aspetto nuovo, divertente e rilevante per il mondo di oggi.

+359 BG is a fashion capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2025, deeply inspired by my home country—Bulgaria. As a student living abroad, I’ve found myself more and more drawn to the cultural roots that shaped me. Distance has allowed me to look at Bulgaria through a new lens—one of appreciation, nostalgia, and curiosity. This project is my way of reconnecting with my heritage and translating it into a language that speaks to both my past and my present.
The title of the collection, +359 BG, holds personal and symbolic meaning. It references Bulgaria’s international telephone code—something you’d dial when trying to reach someone back home. It represents the link between the old and the new, between tradition and technology, between memory and modernity. It encapsulates the clash—and the harmony—between a country with a rich, ancient history and a future shaped by global, contemporary life.
This collection is not only a celebration of identity, but also a visual dialogue between cultures. I wanted to explore what it means to carry your culture with you—to wear it, reinterpret it, and let it evolve with you. Often I’ve felt that Bulgarian culture isn’t well represented or recognized in global creative spaces. Through +359 BG, I wanted to highlight the unique beauty of this culture by giving it a fresh, fun, and relevant look for today’s world.
