Looks that kill, è quello che qualcuno ha definito come “progetto autobiografico” e, in effetti, mi sono resa conto che racchiude due anime contrapposte che panno parte di me. La collezione è l’incontro tra due figurein apparenza antitetiche, la “Sicura Milanese” e lo stile Hard Rock degli anni ’80 o Hair metal che dir si vogliain cui l’unico punto in comune sembrano essere i capelli cotonati. Ho voluto unire i tratti distintivi di queste ispirazioni che uniscono i bouclé e l’atteggiamento borghese ad uno stile esagerato ed elettrico come quello delle band che hanno dominato questo periodo storico e che incarna il sentimento di eccesso espettacolarizzazione che ha contraddistinto quegli anni. L’ostentazione smodata e lo styling aggressivo sono stati scelti di proposito e con lo scopo di creare un incontro che fosse glamour.

Looks that kill, is what someone described as an “autobiographical project,” and indeed, I realized that it encompasses two opposing souls that cloth part of me. The collection is the meeting of two seemingly antithetical figures, the “Milanese Sure” and the 80s Hard Rock style-or Hair metal as it may be-in which the only common point seems to be backcombed hair. I wanted to combine the distinctive traits of theseinspirations that combine bouclés and bourgeois attitude with an exaggerated and electric style like that of the bands that dominated this period of history and that embodies the feeling of excess and showmanshipthat marked those years. The inordinate ostentation and aggressive styling were chosen on purpose andwith the aim of creating an encounter that was glamorous.
