DEDUCANT è una collezione menswear che nasce da universi estetici differenti e spesso contraddittori. Il mondo religioso della Controriforma si fonde con la visione di Robert Mapplethorpe e Kayode Ojo; i paramenti liturgici, vero cuore della collezione, prendono nuova vita e forma dalle ispirazioni di questi artisti, con i film sublimi e inquietanti di Dreyer e Chéreau come sfondo. Figure fluide del Medioevo come Giovanna d’Arco, alla guida di un esercito in abiti maschili, o gli ultimi – ambigui – re Valois del XVI secolo diventano muse multiformi in una collezione caotica che segue poche ma rigorose regole. La nevrosi e la tensione spirituale si riversano sugli abiti di questa primavera 2023, in cui la stabilità è abolita e tutto trabocca in una decostruzione sia della forma che del contenuto.

DEDUCANT is a menswear collection born from different, often contradictory aesthetic universes. The religious world of the Counter-Reformation merges with the vision of Robert Mapplethorpe and Kayode Ojo; the liturgical vestments, the true heart of the collection, take new life and shape from the inspirations of these artists, with the sublime and disturbing films of Dreyer and Chéreau as a backdrop. Fluid figures from the Middle ages such as Joan of Arc, leading an army in men’s clothing, or the last – ambiguous – Valois kings of 16th century become multiform muses in a chaotic collection that follows few but strict rules. Neurosis and spiritual tension spill over into the clothes of this spring 2023, in which stability is abolished, and everything overflows into a deconstruction of both form and content.
