CHI SONO COME DESIGNER?

 Mi chiamo Daniele Corina e sono un designer di moda. L’idea di creare qualcosa di nuovo, il fascino delle sfilate e la prospettiva che qualcuno possa indossare una mia creazione sono le forze che guidano il mio lavoro. Ho studiato fashion design presso la Raffles Milano, Istituto Internazionale di Design, dove ho affinato le mie competenze tecniche e creative. Successivamente, ho completato un corso in Fashion Sustainability Management, che mi ha permesso di approfondire le tematiche legate alla modasostenibile. Il mio stile è fortemente influenzato dallo streetwear, un settore che mi affascina per la sua capacità di esprimere la cultura urbana attraverso l’abbigliamento.

DESCRIZIONE GENERALE DEL PORTFOLIO

 Il mio portfolio è una raccolta di alcuni dei progetti più interessanti che ho sviluppato e che testimoniano la mia crescita comedesigner e la mia dedizione verso una moda sostenibile. Ogni progetto è frutto di una ricerca approfondita e di un’attenzioneparticolare ai dettagli, dai materiali utilizzati alle tecniche di realizzazione.

PROGETTO N.1

 Il primo progetto riguarda una collezione donna realizzata per il brand Issey Miyake. Dopo un’approfondita ricerca, ho sviluppato due pagine di moodboard. Il tema della collezione è la pizzica salentina; nel moodboard infatti ho inserito vari elementi cherichiamano la pizzica e il Salento. I testi, scritti in grico, sono stati estratti dalla canzone tipica salentina “Kalinitta”, che racconta un amore non corrisposto. Nella seconda pagina, invece, ho inserito un’opera di Chiharu Shiota, artista giapponese. Le pagine seguenti mostrano la cartella colori e i tessuti utilizzati per lo sviluppo della collezione. Infine, ho presentato tre look con i relativi disegni tecnici, tessuti e altezza dei capi.

PROGETTO N.2

 Il secondo progetto riguarda una collezione ECO, realizzata con materiali e accessori ecosostenibili. Nella prima pagina, come per il progetto 1, ho presentato la cartella colori, la cartella materiali e gli accessori. Le tre pagine successive mostrano tre look con irelativi disegni tecnici e la descrizione dei capi.

PROGETTO N.3

 Il terzo progetto riguarda la modellistica. L’obiettivo era realizzare un tubino a piacimento a seguito di una ricerca sulla sua storia ed evoluzione negli anni. Nella prima pagina ho presentato il figurino, il disegno tecnico e il cartamodello in digitale. Nella seconda pagina, invece, ho inserito le foto dello shooting realizzato con il capo finito.

PROGETTO N.4

 Il quarto progetto è stato sviluppato per partecipare a un’iniziativa per MIND (Milano Innovation District). Lo scopo era presentareun progetto ecosostenibile per la città del futuro. Da qui è nata l’idea di BioMize, un capo sostenibile a 360 gradi. La collezione presenta capi costituiti da un tessuto a base di mais che, una volta indossati e utilizzati, possono essere piantati come concime per le piante essendo biodegradabili. Questo progetto mi ha premiatocon la terza posizione, permettendomi di seguire un programma di certificazione all’EIIS di Roma e di conseguenza ricevere un diploma in “Fashion Sustainability & Management”.

PROGETTO N.5

 Il quinto progetto è stato presentato come esame di certificazione per ricevere il diploma in “Fashion Sustainability & Management”. Questa challenge è stata realizzata per UNIQLO. Dopo una ricerca iniziale sul brand, ho sviluppato e studiato i tessuti da utilizzare,come utilizzarli, chi li produce, ecc. In breve, ho analizzato come si sviluppa tutta la catena produttiva, dall’inizio alla fine.

WHO AM I AS A DESIGNER?

 My name is Daniele Corina, and I am a fashion designer. The idea of creating something new, the allure of fashion shows, and theprospect of someone wearing something I created are the driving forces behind my work. I studied fashion design at Raffles Milano, International Design Institute, where I refined my technical and creative skills. Subsequently, I completed a course in Fashion Sustainability Management, which allowed me to delve deeper into sustainable fashion topics. My style is heavily influenced by streetwear, a field that fascinates me for its ability to express urban culture through clothing.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PORTFOLIO

 My portfolio is a collection of some of the most interesting projects I have developed, showcasing my growth as a designer andmy dedication to sustainable fashion. Each project is the result of thorough research and particular attention to detail, from the materials used to the techniques employed.

PROJECT NO. 1

 The first project involves a women’s collection created for the Issey Miyake brand. After in-depth research, I developed two pagesof moodboards. The theme of the collection is the pizzica salentina; in the moodboard, I included various elements that evoke the pizzica and Salento. The texts, written in Griko, were taken from the traditional Salento song “Kalinitta,” which tells the story of unrequited love. In the second page, I included a work by Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota. The following pages show the color palette and fabrics used for the collection’s development. Finally, I presented three looks with the corresponding technical drawings, fabrics, and garment heights.

PROJECT NO. 2

 The second project involves an ECO collection, created with eco-friendly materials and accessories. In the first page, as in project 1, I presented the color palette, materials, and accessories. The next three pages show three looks with the corresponding technical drawings and garment descriptions.

PROJECT NO. 3

 The third project involves pattern making. The goal was to create a dress of my choice following research on its history and evolution over the years. In the first page, I presented the fashion illustration, the technical drawing, and the digital pattern. In thesecond page, I included the photos from the shoot with the finished garment.

PROJECT NO. 4

 The fourth project was developed to participate in an initiative for MIND (Milano Innovation District). The goal was to present an eco-sustainable project for the city of the future. This led to the idea of BioMize, a garment that is sustainable in every aspect.The collection features garments made from corn-based fabric that, once worn and used, can be planted as compost for plants, being biodegradable. This project earned me third place, allowing me to attend a certification program at EIIS in Rome and subsequently receive a diploma in “Fashion Sustainability & Management.”

PROJECT NO. 5

 The fifth project was presented as a certification exam to receive the diploma in “Fashion Sustainability & Management.” This challenge was created for UNIQLO. After initial research on the brand, I developed and studied the fabrics to use, how to usethem, who produced them, etc. In short, I analyzed how the entire production chain develops, from start to finish.
